Maintenance Assistant - Building Maintenance

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Maintenance Assistant to assist in the overall general maintenance of the buildings and facilities of the UAA. The position involves plumbing repairs and maintenance, rough carpentry work, painting, hanging signage, and minor electrical work.

• Perform general maintenance tasks in the buildings and facilities.
• Carry out plumbing repairs and routine maintenance.
• Execute rough carpentry work and painting as needed.
• Hang signage and assist with minor electrical work.
• Work in a customer-based environment, presenting a positive attitude toward internal and external customers.
• Engage effectively with individuals from diverse cultures or backgrounds.
• Work a non-standard work week, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of general maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred:
  Carpentry or woodworking experience.
