Minimum Requirements:

Driver's license. Level 2 DCF Background check required.

Keeps buildings at P.K. Yonge sanitized and in orderly condition. Relies predominantly on instructions and pre-established department and CDC guidelines, but some job functions may require exercising some independent judgement. Works under general supervision. Reports directly to Custodial Supervisor.

• Service, clean, or supply restrooms;
  Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming;
  Gather and empty trash;
  Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors;
  Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment;
  Clean and polish furniture and fixtures;
  Clear debris from classrooms, walkways, sidewalks, and entrances;
  Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment;
  Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications;
  Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Assist, as needed, in delivery of shipments throughout campus;
  Monitor, clean and supply assigned work stations, including janitorial closets. Move furniture, equipment, or supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings.
• Drive vans, industrial trucks, or other vehicles required to travel to or to perform facility needs.

$16/hour

• Completion of ninth grade
• Valid Driver's license
• Level 2 DCF Background check required

• Previous custodial experience preferred.

One day position (7:30am-4:00pm) and one evening position (1:00pm-9:30pm) is needed. Occasional weekend work may be required, based on school needs.
