Job DescriptionDelivers and set-up of stages, tables, chairs, podium, materials and equipment for commencement ceremonies, department programs, and other special events. Installs restroom and hand sanitizing dispensers. Provides cleaning and maintenance support across campus facilities.
Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for the delivery, set-up, assembly, and disassembly of staging and furniture for events.
- Move and transport furniture for departments and academic units.
- Deliver and install restroom and hand sanitizing dispensers as needed.
- Assist HPWT Zones with cleaning and maintaining halls, offices, classrooms, restrooms, conference rooms, labs, gym areas, locker rooms, elevators, and other spaces, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, spot‑mopping, spot washing, and wall, door, and partition cleaning.
- Assist the Department by cleaning entrances, entrance walks, steps, patios, and concourses.
- Empty and clean waste cans, trash cans, recycle bins, water fountains, and doormats.
- Assist HPWT Zones in other tasks as assigned or required.
- Complete required training prescribed by Facilities Services Training and Education Department and the University's Compliance Training.
- Follow and adhere to all Building Services Standard Operating Procedures, and Facilities Services Policies and Directives.
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience; or completion of the ninth grade and three years of experience.
- High school diploma and two (2) years of commercial custodial experience.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and standards.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machines.
- Ability to work in elevated environments.
Normal
Work Schedule:
7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday through Friday). Workdays and shift times may vary in response to customer needs for special event coverage and/or departmental needs. Some overtime may be required. Total hours per week is 40. Management retains the right and discretion to modify schedules, building assignments, shifts and/or days for operational purposes.
Expected Salary: $16.00 to $18.95 Hourly
