Job DescriptionPerforms turf mowing functions on commercial zero‑turn mowers.
Operates large farm‑type tractors with implements such as mowers, spreaders, edgers, tillers, leaf sweepers, etc., used in turf and landscape maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
Performs grounds maintenance tasks in assigned work areas.
Drives state vehicles that require a Class E driver’s license.
Performs and documents equipment safety checks. Assists mechanic in servicing assigned equipment.
Employee must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E driver’s license.
Employee must possess or obtain GI‑BMP Certification within (6) months of employment.
Position requires a criminal background check and a post‑offer health assessment.
Normal Work Schedule7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
Position considered as Essential Personnel as defined by UF Policy
Expected Salary$16.00 Hourly
Required Qualifications- Completion of ninth grade and one year of relevant experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience in running mowers and tractors
