Position Summary... What you'll do...Operates and maintains pressure washing equipment, including pumps, hoses, nozzles, and accessories, to clean a variety of surfaces (for example, walls, sidewalks, roofs, parking lots, trash chutes, compactors, other areas). Evaluates areas to be cleaned to and determines appropriate pressure levels, temperature settings, and operational methods. Removes dirt, debris, trash, and other contaminants to ensure surfaces meet facility standards. Follows established safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries while working with high pressure equipment.
Performs safety and preventative maintenance checks on power washing machinery, including oil and gas levels, oil changes, seals, and filters. Maintains equipment inventory, installs normal wear parts, and ensures all tools are stored properly between uses. Operates and maintains corporate vehicles, ensuring they are stocked and in proper working order. Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards and uses the Open Door Policy to address concerns.
Uses heavy machinery. Responds to work orders using phones, tablets, or laptops to record tasks, maintain logs, and update documentation. Communicates with facility users to troubleshoot issues, resolve service requests, and provide updates. Builds relationships with key stakeholders to support operational needs across facilities. Follows safety procedures, responds to work orders, completes documentation, and coordinates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners using verbal, written, and electronic communication methods.
Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, information, and tools to meet business priorities. Executes work assignments, monitors progress, and adapts to changing priorities or emerging challenges. Performs additional facility related maintenance duties as assigned. Performs seasonal exterior maintenance activities, including snow and ice management, by operating snow removal equipment, applying de-icing materials, clearing walkways, drives, and exterior areas, and supporting winter preparedness and response activities to maintain safe facility conditions.
Evaluates current and future replacement needs (for example, mulch, rock, trees, shrubs, sod replacement). Implements upgrades to convert the facility into a sustainable unit. Explores potential improvements to lower operating costs. Coordinates with Home Office support to standardize equipment and reduce on-hand stock. Sources tool and equipment purchases to perform repairs. Ensures completed work meets quality and safety requirements. Maintains a safe work environment.
Observes and adheres to all safety policies and procedures. Reports all safety violations to management. Ensures all assigned equipment, tools, safety items, vehicles, trailers, and other items are maintained in proper working order by following proper maintenance and inventory schedules. Performs other facility-related maintenance duties as assigned. Operates and maintains corporate vehicles, including box trucks, in a safe and compliant manner by adhering to all safety requirements.
Conducts required pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment. Reports maintenance or safety concerns in accordance with company policies. Maintains vehicles in working mechanical (basic maintenance) and cleanliness condition. Coordinates and takes vehicles for required maintenance, ensuring beforehand that alternate driving support is arranged. Safely operates motor vehicles and ensures vehicles have all the required documents.
Checks fuel and water levels, brake condition, signals, and lights. Submits maintenance invoices for payment. Verifies the coverage and validity of vehicle insurance. Wears company uniform and badge according to company policies and procedures. Operates, inspects, and maneuvers heavy machinery and powered equipment (for example, forklifts, material handling equipment, industrial machines, shop equipment, vehicles) in accordance with training, certification requirements, and safety procedures.
Performs pre-operation safety checks and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with applicable standards. Identifies unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or potential hazards and takes appropriate corrective action or escalates as required. When not in use, ensure vehicles are properly locked, keys are stored per protocol, and vehicles are available for inspection or reassignment as needed. Parks all assigned work vehicles at the designated Walmart parking location(s) as outlined by Walmart policies.
