Key Responsibilities Maintain facilities, equipment, and grounds in a safe and operational condition.
Select and maintain materials needed to complete maintenance projects.
Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and free of hazards and debris.
Clean job sites upon completion of work and properly store tools and materials at the end of each shift.
Perform routine facility maintenance, including:
Lighting inspections and bulb replacement
Air filter maintenance
Painting and wall repairs
General building repairs and upkeep
Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance and safety-related issues as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
Strip, wax, buff, and maintain floors as needed.
Identify and report safety concerns, potential abuse, compliance issues, and facility-related hazards.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to travel between buildings and work locations as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Working Conditions Exposure to outdoor environments, chemicals, and treatment program settings.
Regular interaction with clients, consumers, staff, and visitors.
Occasional extended, irregular, evening, weekend, or on-call hours may be required.
Background Screening Requirement Candidates must be eligible to successfully complete a Level II Background Screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Ability to operate a power drain snake for plumbing maintenance.
Knowledge of:
Fire extinguisher locations throughout the agency
Sprinkler systems
Alarm systems
Building water shut-off valves
Ability to operate high- and low-speed floor buffers.

Education and Experience
Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Five (5) years of maintenance experience.
Working knowledge of carpentry and plumbing.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Six (6) months of maintenance experience.
Working knowledge of carpentry and plumbing.
