FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance and Operations
WORK CALENDAR: 235 Days

SUMMARYUnder the general supervision of the Director of Maintenance & Operations.
Essential Functions- Adheres to GCSS standards and promotes a safe and positive work environment.
- Maintains all equipment and tools in good working order assist in supervising white fleet maintenance.
- Performs weekly school building inspections, creates inspection reports.
- Safely loads, unloads, and secure all equipment, tools, and other items to be transported, either by vehicle or trailer.
- Procures and returns materials, equipment, and tools from/to stock.
- Immediately report safety hazards which affect the welfare of students, system employees or visitors
- Maintains safe work sites, supervise day-to-day maintenance department including HVAC, Electrical, and Low Voltage personnel.
- Routinely climb, balance, stop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Routinely lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Works indoors and outdoors with exposure to weather including cold, heat, wet, and high humidity.
- Follows written and oral instructions.
- Supervise GCSS security cameras, and security and fire alarm systems.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Experience of Performing General Maintenance Duties Desirable
- Valid Georgia Driver's License
- Such Alternatives to the Above Qualifications as the Board May Find Appropriate and Acceptable
- Medium Work:
Occasionally lifting to 50 pounds, and/or moving 10-25 pounds frequently. - Heavy Work:
Occasionally lifting to 75 pounds, and/or frequently moving 25-50 pounds, and/or constantly moving 10-20 pounds.
