Cusdial Supervisor

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Custodial Supervisor on the Gainesville campus. This position requires the supervision of 10 - 20 custodians and is responsible for maintaining the appearance of multiple buildings on campus.

Supervise a 10-15 personnel custodial staff. Assign duties, inspect work, critique and counsel subordinate employees. Manage the custodial operations of multiple buildings which includes floor and carpet maintenance, trash pickup, cleaning of offices, classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, meeting rooms, treatment rooms and common areas. Maintaining custodial equipment and supply levels for buildings to operate. Responsible for coordinating after hours/weekend support that relate to specials events/emergencies.

Responsible for outside appearance of assigned buildings. Assists with set up and take down of special events throughout campus. Assist the floor crew as needed. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned or needed to support UNG operations.

Knowledge of custodial equipment (floor scrubbers, buffers, extraction machines, scissor lifts and wet/dry vacuum). Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper application. Safety practices a must. Ability to perform physical labor to include but not limited to lifting, pushing/pulling objects up to 60 pounds, climbing and working from ladders up to 32 feet tall, and performing manual labor tasks for extended periods.

Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two (2) years custodial experience required. Possess a valid State of Georgia Driver's License.
