Regional Maintenance Support Specialist

About the Role

The Regional Maintenance Support Specialist supports multiple communities within the Northern Virginia / Maryland / DC Region by providing advanced technical expertise, hands‑on repair capability, and on‑request supervisory support. This role ensures high‑quality maintenance operations, strengthens team performance through training and leadership, and contributes to capital project success across the region.

• Mentor and cross‑train maintenance associates at assigned communities.
• Provide on‑request supervision, coaching, and hiring support.
• Promote and support participation in Fairfield training programs.

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more.
• Complete preventive maintenance and common‑area upkeep.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies when needed.

• Oversee on‑site capex projects and vendor work quality.
• Assist with bidding, scope development, and procurement.
• Track project timelines to meet required milestones.

• Ensure adherence to Fairfield policies, OSHA standards, and hazardous materials requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of building systems and safety equipment.

• Support make‑ready schedules, move‑ins, and move‑outs upon request.
• Maintain communication with on‑site and regional teams across multiple communities.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• EPA Certification, Type II or universal required
• CPO Certification (Pool) required
• CAMT Certification preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on building maintenance experience
• Supervisory experience required
• Multifamily/apartment experience required
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management software

Estimated Rate of Pay: $81,840.00 - $91,520.00. This position is exempt; the range above reflects annual salary.

The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any). In addition to base salary, Fairfield offers all full‑time associates the following, upon meeting eligibility requirements:
