Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will serve as a key team member who will report to the Facilities Manager and will be responsible for a wide variety of general repairs and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Electrical (Ballasts, bulbs, parking lot lights, troubleshooting outlets, and identifying and resetting tripped breaker.)
- Plumbing (General plumbing including repairing leaking faucets, replacing washer's faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment snaking / cleaning clogged drains)
- Painting (Brush and roller applications, plaster, drywall repair, Interior and exterior jobs)
- Doors (Metal/wood, closers, hinges, sweeps ext.)
- Furniture (Repair, drawers, adjustment, assembly)
Additional duties include:
- Moving items as needed (i.e., furniture, file cabinets, boxes, etc.)
- Delivery of office and building supplies to the correct departments and locations
- Small appliance and equipment installation
- Assist Facilities Manager and others on special projects as directed by Manager.
- Responsible for the timely completion of all assigned facility work order requests.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma. Some technical / college education or minimum 5 years of work experience in facility maintenance field.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Suites and facility management software.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Teamwork mindset.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Basic safety knowledge.
- Maintain a professional appearance and comply with all uniform requirements.
- Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality.
- Required to stand, walk, talk, or hear, taste or smell.
- Frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to periodically carry items weighing up to 25lbs.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
