Lead Engineer - Job Description

We are hiring a Lead Engineer to expand your skills working on mission‑critical infrastructure facilities operations for a leading wholesale data center provider. The role involves at least 40 hours of work per week in a clean, stable environment with a wide variety of daily tasks.

• Monitor building infrastructure systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair building infrastructure systems, including HVAC, electrical, and other systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all building equipment.
• Assemble and commission data center equipment.
• Prepare Change Management Forms and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
• Schedule maintenance procedures with vendors.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and use of protective equipment.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations such as fire, evacuation, equipment failure, and customer concerns.
• Conduct facility inspections, take readings, and fill in parameters on daily spreadsheets.

• An associate’s degree (AA/AS) or an equivalent combination of education and experience; data center experience preferred.
• A trade license or certification acquired through technical education/training.
• A facilities maintenance certification.
• Experience working with mission‑critical data equipment and willingness to work in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
• Strong HVAC, mechanical, and electrical skills and experience.
• Understanding of computer systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and processes precisely and carefully.
• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift, at least one weekend day each week, and unscheduled overtime as needed.
• Ability to walk around frequently, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and lift heavy objects.
