The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all hard-surface floors and carpeting throughout the Skilled Nursing Facility. This position ensures a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff by performing specialized floor care and environmental services duties in accordance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous floor care, housekeeping, custodial, or environmental services experience preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or skilled nursing environment is preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of floor care procedures and cleaning techniques.
• Ability to safely operate floor maintenance equipment.
• Understanding of chemical safety and infection control practices.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate commercial floor cleaning equipment safely.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions throughout the facility.

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.
• Exposure to healthcare and long-term care environments.
• May be required to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
