Floor Maintenance Assistant (S)
The primary purpose of this position is to perform cleaning and maintenance of various types of floor surfaces (i.e., stripping/finishing/shampooing carpets, etc.) and other specialized projects for Murdoch Development Center. This team specialized in floor care and reports to their assigned areas as scheduled. Floor Maintenance assistant works within Environmental Services Department. This position's work is guided by a daily schedule for general assignments and special project work.
This position is part of the snow removal team and will be expected to shovel snow various times during a shift. All employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events. This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
- Working knowledge of floor maintenance and floor care products.
- General knowledge of cleaning procedures
- Perform medium to heavy physical work.
- Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
