HVAC Mechanic II (S)

The primary purpose of the Plant Maintenance Section is to ensure the successful operation of the physical plant and facility infrastructure. This position maintains and services all HVAC systems for Murdoch Center in addition to a satellite facility used for cold storage, the Oxford and Wright Path group homes, and the old ADATC facility consisting of seven buildings. This position repairs and provides preventive maintenance for all Murdoch Center's heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration.

New equipment is installed as required. On occasion, this position will assist with maintenance repairs and other types of work for other State agencies. ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

• Candidate must have working knowledge of tools.
• Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and to prescribe and perform repair procedures.
• Experience using and troubleshooting commercial DDC HVAC control systems.
• Experience reading and working with schematics and blueprints during the performance of maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
• Valid Driver's License
