Supervision Exercised: Supervision may be exercised over student workers.
Job Summary Under the supervision of the assigned supervisor: perform skilled, semi-skilled, or unskilled maintenance work and other related work as requested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform various manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.Identify needed repairs in the various college buildings and perform such repairs as replace lights/ballasts, minor plumbing, door closures, hardware and minor electrical work like wall switches, outlets etc.Assist in the maintenance of lawn areas, flower beds and tree trimming.Maintain painted walls as required.Required to assist with snow removal which can be early morning starts, extended hours, weekend and Holiday duty.Required to report to work in a timely manner (within 60 minutes) when called to assist in snow removal.Have knowledge of commonly used concepts and follow, policies, procedures, and safety measures.Responsible for event set up and tear down, working closely with Director, Administration/Event Coordinator.Minor custodial duties including: special cleanups, carpet & floor care, furniture & glass cleaning.Required to carry a cell phone for on-call weekends for emergencies based on rotation list.Regular attendance is expected.Using tact and courtesy, the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with persons contacted in the course of work.Related Duties
