Position Summary

• Clean and keep in an orderly condition of duties that involve sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors.
• Remove chips, trash, and other refuse.
• Dust equipment, furniture, or fixtures.
• Polish metal fixtures or trimmings.
• Provide supplies and minor maintenance services.
• Clean lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
• Overall care of the building and grounds following proper cleaning procedures.
• Vacuum, dust, sweep, mop, empty trash around the different areas of the building on a daily basis.
• Use equipment such as floor buffer machine and scrubber machine to clean rugs around the building.
• Clean glass of all doorways and entrances to offices.
• Monitors building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after cleaning offices.
• Notify management of need for repairs when necessary.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.
• Previous experience in custodial field preferred.
• Ability to comprehend basic written and oral instructions.
• Internal and external customer service skills.
• Ability to cooperate with others, good personal and grooming habits.
• Ability to maintain a clean and orderly working area to maximize efficiency.

• Bending, standing, lifting, walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

• Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
