Job Skills / Requirements

SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout assigned facilities. This role performs routine cleaning, debris removal, and sanitation tasks to ensure all areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Janitorial Team Members must follow all company procedures, safety protocols, and customer requirements while supporting operational efficiency and teamwork within the cleaning services team.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms including sinks, mirrors, toilets, floors, and dispensers
  • Refill restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
  • Clean vents, fixtures, entrances, thresholds, frames, and facility surfaces
  • Remove debris, dust, and dirt from designated work areas to maintain sanitation standards
  • Follow all safety procedures including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Follow company cleaning standards, procedures, and customer site requirements
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding work progress and needs
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times
  • Follow written and verbal instructions related to cleaning assignments
  • Participate in required training sessions and on-the-job training (OJT)
  • Support teamwork and cooperate with other personnel to complete tasks efficiently
  • Accurately clock in and out according to company timekeeping procedures
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with building occupants and customer representatives
  • Perform additional cleaning tasks or operational duties as assigned by management
Required Skills / Abilities
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain cleaning standards
  • Basic communication skills for reporting tasks and coordinating with supervisors
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
  • Must have a reliable smartphone as a condition of employment for timekeeping, employee portal access, and company communications
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Follow assigned cleaning schedules and operational procedures.
  • Support team operations and assist coworkers when necessary to maintain service quality
  • Maintain professional conduct and comply with company policies at all times
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.

REASONING

Ability to apply common understanding to carry out uninvolved written and oral instructions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance and color vision.

Education Requirements (All)
