Custodian II – 2nd Shift (8 Hours)

Location: Harding High School, Marion, Ohio

Contract: 12 months, 260 days, 2080 hours per year (8 hours per day)

Effective July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025 (15.98–20.17 per hour, $0.15 extra for second shift)

Start Date: Immediately

General Duties: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the school, including lifting and moving furniture and equipment.

• Follow a regular cleaning and dusting schedule in assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms daily.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the head custodian, supervisor, or principal.
• Maintain the security and safety of the building in assigned areas.
• Refill toilet paper, towel, soap, and sanitary napkin dispensers as needed.
• Maintain a neat personal appearance and conduct.
• Build positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and the public.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the head custodian, principal, or facilities supervisor.

• Ensure the safety of students.
• Work effectively with others and exhibit professional behavior, emotional stability, and sound judgment.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with staff, students, and parents.
• Promote good public relations through appearance, attitude, and conversation.

• Citizenship or valid work authorization required.
• Ability to competently perform the job, including experience in custodial or related work, attendance, job skills and knowledge, loyalty, work ethic, people skills, and the ability to perform essential functions.

Employee must remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout employment.
