As a Maintenance Technician at Fitch Irick, you’ll play a key role in keeping our properties running smoothly and safely. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals while maintaining beautiful living spaces and ensuring a high quality of life for our residents. Every day presents a new challenge, from routine maintenance to emergency repairs, and we need someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping our communities in great shape.
Responsibilities- Property Care:
Take ownership of the upkeep of the grounds, buildings, and amenities, including cleaning, trash removal, and regular inspections. - Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct routine maintenance to prevent issues before they arise, ensuring all systems—HVAC, plumbing, electrical—operate smoothly. - Timely Repairs:
Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance requests, minimizing disruption for residents. - Unit Turnovers:
Prepare units for new residents when occupants move out, ensuring each space is clean, functional, and up to Fitch Irick’s high standards. - Emergency Response:
Handle emergency repairs efficiently and document incidents for insurance purposes. - Compliance:
Keep the property compliant with all safety regulations and Fair Housing standards.
- At least 1 year of general maintenance experience; experience in property management is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and a proactive mindset.
- Physical stamina: capable of lifting up to 100 pounds, bending, stooping, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Team player: reliable, collaborative, and able to take ownership of tasks.
- EPA/CFC certification preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Ability to occasionally travel between properties.
