Support the Director of Campus Facilities in maintaining a safe, clean, and fully operational school environment. Coordinate and perform maintenance tasks, support custodial operations, assist with contractor oversight, and ensure that campus facilities meet safety and appearance standards.
Major Responsibilities and Duties- Maintenance & Repair: ensure equipment such as lawn mowers and golf cart are regularly maintained; perform minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and fixture installations; maintain tools and inventory; follow district purchasing policies.
- Custodial & Grounds Support: keep classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas clean; schedule staff for events; maintain daily work schedules; inventory cleaning supplies; maintain outdoor areas.
- School/Community Relations: interact positively with staff and community; process maintenance requests via Eduphoria; collaborate with IT Department.
- Safety & Security: follow safety standards and district policies; maintain clear exits; complete bi‑annual Sentinel maintenance checks; update campus emergency maps and signage; report safety concerns.
- Professional: adhere to ethical standards; participate in training; maintain positive relationships; assist with disaster response and special projects; be flexible for after‑hour emergencies.
- Education:
high school diploma; post‑secondary education or training preferred; bachelor's degree preferred. - Experience:
3–5 years general maintenance or specific maintenance areas; supervisory experience preferred. - Skills & Knowledge: basic principles of construction, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting; blueprint reading; use of tools and machinery; proficiency with work‑order and email systems; strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Driver’s license: valid.
