Job Overview:
The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

• Perform janitorial duties and all tasks listed on the daily schedule
• Manage hazardous waste: collection, classification, sorting, storage, shipping, receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of special and hazardous waste
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Observe and stop risky behavior by others and self
• Perform tasks as part of a team with other employees
• Handle repetitive tasks and maintain a clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co‑workers, managers, and customers
• Fill in during staff shortages and support shift lead with punch‑list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction, and reporting systems and environmental issues

• No specific education required; 3–6 months of training or experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver’s license may be required
• Completion of all safety and task training certifications
• Forklift certification may be required
• Bilingual a plus
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and compounds and their safe, efficient use

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Frequently required to sit, talk, or listen. Reasonable accommodations available.

Mon‑Fri 7:00am‑3:30pm: $16.00‑$17.00 per hour.
