Building Services Associate II

Job Description

Supervises an inmate crew that performs custodial and building services duties. Responsible for applying cleaning techniques, supervisory principles, chemical safety precautions, and inventory control procedures.

• Prioritize and assign work.
• Train inmates.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Recommend inmate transfers.
• Perform custodial work such as vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, dusting, and laundry.
• Remove surplus equipment and furnishings.
• Conduct periodic, minor maintenance on equipment.
• Clean equipment and supplies.

• Pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
• Public safety background which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories, and fingerprinting.
• May require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.

• Completion of coursework up through 8th grade and
• Two years of directed related experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

A131. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
