POSITION: Maintenance B Mechanic/Appliance and Custodial Equipment Repair
LOCATION: Facilities & Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Maintenance
BASIC FUNCTION: Toprovide maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance assignments to assigned skills.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to all Custodial equipment including but not limited to Floor Scrubbers, Buffers, Vacuums, Wet/Dry Vacs.
- Responsibleformaintenanceandcarryingout preventativemaintenancemeasures related to their demonstrated craft skill.
- Handles maintenance requests as assigned by the Supervisor of Maintenanceor designeeand paperwork involved in completion of assignment.
- Assists Maintenance Apersonnelwhenrequested .
- Operatesequipmentasrequiredincluding Fuel Delivery Truck and Bucket Truck.
- Otherrelateddutiesasassignedincluding,butnotlimitedto Painters, Groundskeeper, parking lot striping.
- Ability to follow written,oralinstruction andto maintain records and reports.
- Must obtain CDL"Class B"Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat Endorsement within one year of employment.
- Mustbeableto obtain aD.O.T. medical physical foraCDL"Class" B Commercial and Hazmat Endorsement.
- Physicalabilitytoperformdutiessuchasbutnolimitedto lifting,bending, reachingoverhead, standing for extended periods of time,etc.
- Mayberequiredtoworkextendedhoursorholidays,asoperationsrequire.
- 5years-experience as
Fireman
Custodianorequivalentpreferred. - Acceptablescoringonthegeneralmaintenancetest.
- Twelve Months
- Salaryandbenefitsinaccordancewithnegotiatedagreement
EVALUATION: Performance of thisjobwillbeevaluated annually in accordance with Evaluation Procedure of the District.
