Floor Technician

• Safely perform assigned floor care functions according to standards, procedures, and regulations
• Perform environmental services and contractual custodial duties as needed
• Wax, strip, buff, clean, and maintain tile, carpet, and brick floors
• Operate and maintain motorized cleaning equipment safely and correctly
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas and keep work areas clean
• Use appropriate chemicals, supplies, safety signs, and personal protective equipment
• Complete work assignments and punch-list items in a timely manner
• Fill in during staff shortages in custodial, recycling, or maintenance functions
• Report safety hazards and stop at-risk behaviors
• Work with employees, supervisors, managers, leads, co-workers, and customers professionally

• No education requirement
• 6 months–1 year of experience preferred
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license
• Must complete all safety and task training certification
• May be required to be forklift certified
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, compounds, and chemicals and their safe, efficient use
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
• Ability to work repetitive tasks and without normal supervision
• Candidates must be U.S. Citizens

Demonstrates expertise in floor care functions, including waxing, stripping, buffing, and cleaning various floor types while adhering to safety standards and regulations. Proficient in using motorized cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
