The opportunity
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Housekeeping Supplies Supervisor to join our team at Yavapai Hotel in Grand Canyon, Arizona. As a Housekeeping Supplies Supervisor, you will be responsible for the storage, transportation, and efficiency of the laundry operations on-site. - Train new team members as assigned by management and assist with scheduling, ordering, and daily team member assignments and tasks within Housekeeping Operations
- Coordinate and communicate with Laundry Processing Operations while on shift, ensuring all storage areas and linen closets are stocked, neat, clean, and organized
- Safely operate a company vehicle, including a box truck with a lift gate, and load linen carts as scheduled
- Process and stock incoming supply orders, maintain a clean and organized vehicle, and stock carts and closets with necessary cleaning supplies and amenities
- Perform various housekeeping tasks such as stripping guest rooms, emptying trash, reporting maintenance issues, assisting guests with luggage, cleaning ceilings and walls, sorting and folding linens, and maintaining a clean work area
- Previous commercial cleaning or guest service experience preferred
- Preferred: 2 years of supervisory experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle during inclement weather
- Working knowledge of cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures
- Ability to work quickly under pressure and follow directions
- Guest service oriented with basic skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Work in an outdoor environment, including during inclement weather
- Frequent walking and standing for the entire length of the shift
- Ability to push carts weighing up to 200 pounds
