We're looking for a dependable, hands-on, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician at Mountainside Fitness- an upscale health club where members and employees feel welcomed, valued, and supported. . As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep the club operating smoothly by performing routine maintenance, addressing repairs, troubleshooting equipment and facility issues, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
You'll be a trusted member of the team, responding to maintenance needs efficiently and helping ensure our members and staff enjoy a comfortable, functional, and welcoming facility every day.

- Maintain minimal downtime on all facility repairs - defined as 48 hours or less when controllable. Communicate plans and ETAs via Spike.
- Work closely with Farmer's Fitness on all equipment repairs and downtime; understand and clearly communicate ETAs and solutions to all relevant parties.
- Utilize company-approved resources for additional repairs and information.
- Assist with special projects including club openings
- Communicate with the GM on all projects and daily productivity.
- Complete a Site Audit once per week; submit to General Manager and District Manager.
- Complete all appropriate paperwork accurately: equipment repair/problem logs, incident reports, corrective action reports, etc.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
- Report directly to the club's General Manager. Work closely with the District Manager.
- Location and hours of position may change as needed with advance notice, including emergency situations without notice.
- Performance reviews conducted annually by the District Manager.
- Progressive disciplinary procedures - at the discretion of the District Manager - include employee counseling, verbal warnings, probation, and termination, and may not necessarily be applied in that order.
Physical Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years or older.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to maneuver throughout the club and equipment.
- Physical ability to complete all job-related tasks.
- Ability to troubleshoot and assess equipment problems and develop cost-effective solutions.
- Experience and knowledge of mechanical equipment repair and maintenance.
- Demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and consistency in communicating messages and completing tasks.
- Possess problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrate self-motivated and self-directed behavior, including seeking out additional duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers, co-workers, and members.
- Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently.
- Successful completion of Manage Staff training, drug testing, and the Mountainside Training Program.
