About the Role
OverviewJanitors play a vital role in ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming. Their responsibilities extend beyond basic cleaning to include minor maintenance, supply inventory, and security tasks, making them an integral part of the organization.
What You’ll Do- Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, hallways, breakrooms, kitchens, and common areas. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash bins.
- Perform minor maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, and routine inspections to identify maintenance needs.
- Stock restrooms and cleaning stations with supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, cleaning products) and monitor inventory levels to report needs to the purchasing department.
- Complete outdoor duties such as sweeping walkways and removing litter from premises.
- Support security duties by locking and unlocking buildings, monitoring access points, and reporting suspicious activities to management.
- Perform periodic deep cleaning such as waxing floors, shampooing carpets, and cleaning exterior windows.
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies, including the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, laws, regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals within the Compliance Management System.
- Raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to a supervisor, manager, or member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail – keen eye for identifying areas that need cleaning and/or maintenance
- Physical stamina – ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, stooping, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Time management – ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks within designated hours, especially in facilities that operate during business hours
- Adaptability – ability to quickly adjust to meet new demands and handle unexpected situations
- The pay rate for this role will be $20.00/hr.
