We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

The Maintenance Assistant supports the day-to-day maintenance and operations of our facility. Working closely with the Maintenance Director, you will help ensure that our building, grounds, and equipment remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents, staff, and visitors.

• Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep throughout the facility.

• Perform general repairs including painting, drywall patching, basic plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical work.

• Respond promptly to maintenance work orders submitted by residents and staff.

• Assist with HVAC preventative maintenance, including filter changes and routine inspections.

• Replace lighting fixtures and perform minor electrical repairs as assigned.

• Maintain the exterior grounds, parking areas, sidewalks, and common areas.

• Assist with resident room preparation, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.

• Support the setup and breakdown of facility events and activities.

• Perform routine safety inspections and assist with fire and life safety compliance.

• Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, and repair needs to the Maintenance Director.

• Follow all OSHA regulations, infection control procedures, safety protocols, and facility policies.

• Previous maintenance, facilities, or building maintenance experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building repairs.

• Ability to read, understand, and complete work orders and maintenance logs.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, standing, and walking throughout the shift.

• Valid driver's license preferred.

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, healthcare, or hospitality setting is a plus.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
