We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our team.
PositionSummary
The Maintenance Assistant supports the day-to-day maintenance and operations of our facility. Working closely with the Maintenance Director, you will help ensure that our building, grounds, and equipment remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep throughout the facility.
Perform general repairs including painting, drywall patching, basic plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical work.
Respond promptly to maintenance work orders submitted by residents and staff.
Assist with HVAC preventative maintenance, including filter changes and routine inspections.
Replace lighting fixtures and perform minor electrical repairs as assigned.
Maintain the exterior grounds, parking areas, sidewalks, and common areas.
Assist with resident room preparation, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
Support the setup and breakdown of facility events and activities.
Perform routine safety inspections and assist with fire and life safety compliance.
Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, and repair needs to the Maintenance Director.
Follow all OSHA regulations, infection control procedures, safety protocols, and facility policies.
Previous maintenance, facilities, or building maintenance experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building repairs.
Ability to read, understand, and complete work orders and maintenance logs.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, healthcare, or hospitality setting is a plus.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
