Position Overview
- Full‑time HOUSEKEEPER at Glen Oaks Hospital, 701 Winthrop Avenue, Glendale Heights, IL 60139 – online applications only.
- Full‑time schedule:
Monday‑Friday with rotating weekends. Hours may vary; details upon interview. - Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
- Pay: $17.00 per hour.
- Training: 1 week in‑person followed by 1 week online.
Performs light cleaning duties to maintain establishments, including hospitals, in a clean and orderly manner. Duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, vacuuming, and other housekeeping tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provides quality customer service to patients and staff with attention to detail.
- Swipes, scrubs, mops, and polishes floors.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies; shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
- Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings.
- Cleans metal fixtures and fittings; empties and cleans trash containers; disposes of trash sanitary.
- Cleans washbasins, mirrors, tubs and showers; wipes down glass surfaces.
- Makes up beds and changes linens as required; realigns furniture and amenities per layout.
- Responds to guest queries, requests, and housekeeping problems such as spills or broken glasses.
- Contributes to team efforts; exhibits professionalism with patients, staff, and associates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
