Drive and maintain a powered floor scrubbing machine to deep‑clean concrete surfaces, remove tire marks, and eliminate spill hazards. - Equipment Maintenance:
Perform basic daily checks on cleaning machinery (emptying tanks, cleaning brushes, checking battery fluid levels or fuel) and report mechanical issues immediately. - General Warehouse Sanitation
- Debris & Waste Management:
Empty warehouse trash cans, recycling bins, and dumpsters throughout the shift. Break down excess cardboard and load materials into the compactor. - Facility Cleaning:
Maintain clean and sanitized restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, and office areas. Replenish soap, paper towels, and other essential supplies. - Spill Response:
Quickly and safely clean up chemical or liquid spills according to OSHA standards, utilizing appropriate absorbent materials. - Safety & Compliance:
Keep pedestrian walkways, emergency exits, and electrical panels clear of all obstructions; strictly follow safety protocols, wear PPE, set up hazard signage; safely handle, store, and label industrial cleaning chemicals per SDS guidelines.
- Equipment
Experience:
Proven experience operating industrial cleaning equipment, specifically powered floor sweepers and automatic scrubbers. - Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout an 8‑hour shift. - Environment Adaptability:
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced warehouse environment with moving forklifts, changing temperatures, and moderate noise levels. - Reliability:
Strong time‑management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Preferred experience:
Prior experience working in a logistics, manufacturing, or distribution center environment; forklift or specialized heavy equipment certification (a major plus, but not required); knowledge of OSHA warehouse safety regulations. - Working Conditions:
