Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Maintenance Manager, Industrial Maintenance
The Industrial Maintenance Planner & Scheduler provides lead-level planning, scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities for complex water and wastewater treatment facilities, systems and remote sites.
Essential FunctionsThree years of experience in industrial maintenance, maintenance planning and scheduling, or asset management within water/wastewater treatment, utilities, manufacturing, chemical processing or similar industrial environments, including experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS/EAM). Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Maintenance Planner (CMP) certification is preferred. Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.
One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.

- Develop comprehensive work plans
- Analyze maintenance data and performance trends
- Interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Interact professionally with staff at all levels of the organization
- Coordinate multiple priorities and resources
- Utilize CMMS/EAM systems to support maintenance operations and continuous improvement
- May be required to work evenings, holidays and/or weekends on occasion.
- This position is classified as safety-sensitive which requires candidates to successfully undergo drug and alcohol testing prior to employment. They will be subject to further drug and alcohol testing throughout their period of employment in accordance with the City of Glendale Substance Abuse policy. A post-offer physical assessment is required. The City of Glendale will incur the cost of all required testing.
Lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, lengthy periods of standing and walking. Office setting with frequent visits to field. Will be exposed to fumes, dust, hazardous materials, confined spaces, heights greater than 10 feet, untreated wastewater, and weather extremes.
