Position Title: Janitor

Reports to: Human Resources

Department: General Plant & Over Head

Hours per shift: Employee works Monday through Friday, 5.5 hours per day. 1 10 minute break.

Wage: Level 1

Position

Purpose:

Clean and sanitize bathrooms, lunchrooms, and general facilities

These duties are designated as ADA Essential Functions and must be performed in this job.

• Wash down and disinfect tables in and outside lunch room.
• Empty large trash can in and outside of lunchroom (4)
• Clean out microwaves.
• Wipe out refrigerator.
• Sweep & mop floor of lunchroom.

• Clean and sanitize toilets and urinals.
• Replace and refill paper products as needed.
• Replace cloth towel rolls. (Soiled ones put in laundry in Millwrights shop)
• Fill soap dispenser as needed.
• Refill cleaning spray bottles and take with you to next location.

• Wash down and disinfect everything.
• Empty trash (3)
• Sweep and mop floors

• Wash down and disinfect tables.
• Dust office desks.
• Empty trash cans (5)
• Replace and refill paper products as needed.
• Fill soap dispenser as needed
• Sweep and mop floors

• Clean lunchroom out back
• Empty large trash cans (2). Haul to front dumpster.
• Wash down and disinfect tables.
• Clean out microwaves and toaster.
• Sweep and mop floors (get water from bathrooms)
• Clean restrooms.
• Replace and refill paper products as needed
• Fill soap dispenser as needed
• Replace blue cloth towel rolls. (Soiled ones put in laundry at plywood in Millwrights shop)
• Clean upstairs office and lunchroom.
• Carry mop water from down stairs faucet.
• Sweep and mop floors
• Wash down and disinfect tables.
• Dust office desks.

• Clean and sanitize toilets and urinals (2 restrooms)
• Sweep and mop floors
• Replace and refill paper products as needed
• Fill soap dispenser as needed
• Clean lunch room
• Wash down and disinfect tables
• Clean out microwaves
• Bring supplies from warehouse
• Empty trash and put in dumpster
• Sweep & mop floors

• Clean lunchroom and restrooms
• Sweep and mop floors
• Vacuum rugs
• Wash down and disinfect tables
• Empty trash
• Empty trash and floor of sawmill office if time permits
• Replace and refill paper products as needed from warehouse

These duties are secondary in nature and are not classified as ADA essential.

Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Working Environment: (1) Inside 90%, average temperature 70 degrees F (2) Outside 10%; extreme low temperature 10 degrees F, extreme high temperature 105 degrees

Personal Protective Equipment

Required:

(1) Eye Protection. (2) Hearing Protection. (3) Rubber or Leather based gloves when handling dry veneer. (4) Approved Footwear.

Physical Demands:
See the Physical Capabilities as listed below; this position requires constant use of hearing and vision, bilateral use of arms and hands, frequent bending, twisting, pushing/pulling and reaching, and occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling more than 30 lbs.

Skills:

Must have excellent hand eye coordination. Use vision/hearing continuously. Reading and speech required to communicate comprehension of Job Hazard Analysis, machine specific lockout procedures, monthly safety training, etc. Worker generally works alone with little supervision. Operators must be self-directed in identifying and efficiently completing each task. Ability to prioritize, organize and make necessary decisions.
