The Technician completes IAQ-related jobs while following all safety standards, company procedures, and customer service expectations. New hires typically work alongside a Senior Technician or Crew Chief until trained for independent work.
Responsibilities- Follow direction from management, supervisors, and inspectors
- Drive company vehicle to job sites
- Use PPE properly on all jobs
- Follow job scopes and maintain clean work areas
- Set containment, protect property, and set up remediation equipment
- Perform cleaning, HEPA vacuuming, demolition, remediation, duct cleaning, crawlspace encapsulation, and deodorization
- Install air purification units and dehumidifiers
- Collect documentation and use CRM/operations software
- Perform services to GHS, IICRC, and industry standards
- Lift 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable in tight spaces
- Able to wear respirator/PPE
- Basic technology/CRM skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and learn technical protocols
This position begins with a 90-day introductory employment period to evaluate performance, reliability, and long-term fit. During this time, the employee will receive direct field training and work closely with leadership to develop technical skills, customer communication, and Green Home Solutions service protocols.
- $24/hr – 0–3 months (Training)
- $25/hr – 3–12 months (Independent)
- $26/hr – 12–24 months (Advanced)
- Next Step – 24+ months (Senior Technician)
Raises are based on skill mastery, reliability, and performance.
Skill Progression- Training Level: Containment setup, equipment operation, PPE use, product application, crawlspace work, duct cleaning, mold remediation basics, documentation, and completing tasks within budgeted time.
- Independent Level: Perform core services alone, install purification systems, complete treatments independently, use moisture meters/particle counters, understand cross-contamination, read and understand IICRC S520.
- Advanced Level: Fully independent in all services, explain protocols/products to customers, pursue ACAC CRMR or approved certification.
