Accounting Associate

Our client, a growing CPA firm in the northern suburbs, boasts a team of 45+ professionals working with a variety of clients and industries. They are looking to grow their bookkeeping and accounting team with talent that is excited about working with clients and enjoys problem solving.

• Play a central role on the client accounting team by performing intermediate- to experienced-level accounting functions.
• Follow general accounting rules, principles, and procedures in day-to-day work.
• Identify client needs and pain points and use accounting knowledge to uncover potential issues.
• Gather information needed to clean up client books, including reconciliations, closings, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial statements.
• Work closely with clients to resolve issues and maintain accurate books on an ongoing basis.
• Build trust and foster strong client partnerships through consistent support and communication.

• Experience: 3+ years in a bookkeeping or accounting position, preferably in public accounting
• Skills: Strong proficiency Quick Books (Pro Advisor required to be up to date each year) as well as experience with tax software a plus;
  Microsoft Office Suite, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity or experience handling payroll.
• Client Interaction: Ability to work well and build strong trusted relationships with clients.
