ITW Commercial Construction North America (CCNA) is a division of ITW, with trusted brands like Buildex®, Red Head, Ramset, and PNA®. We design and manufacture innovative fastening and concrete flatwork solutions for a variety of construction applications.
PositionAccounting Supervisor – Glenview, IL. Responsible for the preparation and review of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, analysis and cross‑functional communication of business results, product margin reporting and analytics, and special projects.
Primary Responsibilities- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close.
- Prepare internal financial statements, business reports, and reports required by corporate and regulatory agencies.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate the exchange of financial information to key stakeholders with knowledge of variances.
- Provide financial and operational analysis to facilitate accurate decisions and strategies to support the division’s Operational Full Potential goals.
- Understand and apply ITW financial policies consistently and effectively; ensure accurate financial records and strong internal controls are in place and followed.
- Assist in the preparation of annual operation plan, long‑range strategic plans, monthly outlooks, quarterly reviews and other special analysis.
- Partner with the Accounting Manager and Division Controller to develop and lead a proficient team focused on profitable growth, accurate financial reporting, and simplifying business processes.
- Effectively foster a culture of engagement and coaching through feedback, development planning and performance management.
- Ensure the health and safety of yourself and others in your work environment.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- BS/BA in Accounting required; CPA is a plus.
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience.
- Accounting experience in a manufacturing/CPG environment preferred.
- Basic cost accounting experience preferred.
- Understanding of financial statements and working knowledge of accounting principles and practices, ideally related to manufacturing, production or distribution businesses.
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyze raw data and apply creative/innovative analysis, and the capability to form key, succinct, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Proven track record of effectively partnering with cross‑functional team members at all levels, translating data into useful information about the business, and influencing strategic initiatives to drive operational and financial results.
- Demonstrated accountability for results and understanding of the financial impact of decisions.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP and BI systems and Microsoft Excel.
The pay range for this position is $105,000 to $115,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive plan.
