Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, people‑focused Recruiter & Scheduler to support our growing home care agency. This role is responsible for sourcing and hiring compassionate caregivers while ensuring accurate, efficient scheduling that meets client needs. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, communicates exceptionally well, and is committed to delivering high‑quality service to both clients and caregivers. Hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Friday onsite in our Glenview office.

Key Responsibilities Recruiting
  • Source, screen, and interview caregiver candidates.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified caregivers to meet ongoing staffing needs.
  • Participate in determining hiring needs and assist with onboarding and training new staff.
Scheduling & Coordination
  • Create and maintain schedules for caregivers based on client needs and staff availability.
  • Assign new clients to caregivers following agency protocols.
  • Ensure all shifts are covered; secure backup coverage for call‑offs or last‑minute changes.
  • Maintain a “hot list” of caregivers available for immediate placement.
  • Communicate schedule changes promptly to caregivers, clients, and managers.
Administrative & Client Support
  • Enter and update client and caregiver information in scheduling software.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to scheduling and services.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts professionally and efficiently.
  • Build positive relationships with clients to support excellent service delivery.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of scheduling or recruiting experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Customer‑service oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Home care or healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Familiar with Axiscare or other scheduling software preferred.
