Now we are adding to our services by offering a newly created Outsourced Conference Benefits Officer option.

The Outsourced Conference Benefits Officer (OCBO) will be responsible for managing a client’s Wespath‑sponsored benefit programs, services, and communications, and providing consultative services in support of Wespath offerings. The position will be responsible for both day‑to‑day benefit administration work as well as acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the client plan sponsor helping leaders, clergy, and participants navigate important decisions with confidence.

What you’ll do:
  • Serve as a primary advisor to Annual Conferences, clergy, and participants on benefit programs and services.
  • Manage Wespath benefit administration processes including enrollment, transitions, and retirements.
  • Build strong partnerships with conference leadership, including bishops and finance teams.
  • Deliver education through webinars, consultations, and events.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance, maintain accurate data, and provide insights to support decision‑making.

Outsourced Conference Benefits Officer Compensation and Benefits Include:

The compensation range for this position is $120,000-$130,000 with a bonus opportunity and customary benefits. Final compensation will be set based on the hired applicant’s qualifications (education, training, and/or experience related to this role), and as such, may fall outside the range shown.

Minimum Requirements /

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration with a preference for experience with the polity, structure, and governance system of the United Methodist Church.
  • Skilled in basic formatting of Microsoft Office documents and able to analyze data in Excel.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically up to 30% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Wespath Benefits and Systems.
  • 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration with a preference for experience with the polity, structure, and governance system of the United Methodist Church.
  • Skilled in basic formatting of Microsoft Office documents and able to analyze data in Excel.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically up to 30% of the time.
