A Fortune 300 global manufacturing organization headquartered in the northern suburbs of Chicago is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join its Corporate Finance & Accounting team supporting enterprise-wide management reporting, external segment financial statements, and investor relations communications.
This is a high-visibility corporate finance role with excellent exposure to senior leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and meaningful opportunities for rotation and advancement within a well-resourced, admired organization.
What You'll Do:- Assist with the accounting close for the Management Reporting function — preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for both external and operational financial reporting
- Provide reporting of income statement and segment data from internal and external perspectives
- Support senior management and operating groups with financial application training and reporting
- Contribute to department initiatives and cross-functional Finance projects focused on process efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of financial information
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and propose enhancements
- Participate in ad hoc projects across the Corporate Finance & Accounting organization
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 1+ years of professional public accounting or corporate accounting experience required
- Strong analytical skills and business and financial acumen
- High standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and results orientation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to execute projects efficiently with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel required;
Oracle HFM experience a plus - Must be able to work on-site 5 days per week at the Glenview, IL campus
