Senior Accountant

A Fortune 300 global manufacturing organization headquartered in the northern suburbs of Chicago is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join its Corporate Finance & Accounting team supporting enterprise-wide management reporting, external segment financial statements, and investor relations communications.

• Assist with the accounting close for the Management Reporting function — preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for both external and operational financial reporting
• Provide reporting of income statement and segment data from internal and external perspectives
• Support senior management and operating groups with financial application training and reporting
• Contribute to department initiatives and cross-functional Finance projects focused on process efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of financial information
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and propose enhancements
• Participate in ad hoc projects across the Corporate Finance & Accounting organization

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 1+ years of professional public accounting or corporate accounting experience required
• Strong analytical skills and business and financial acumen
• High standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and results orientation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to execute projects efficiently with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Excel required;
  Oracle HFM experience a plus
• Must be able to work on-site 5 days per week at the Glenview, IL campus
