Dietary Aide

The Citadel of Glenview is seeking a Dietary Aide to join their team. The Dietary Aide is responsible for serving residents’ meals and cleaning routines for the dietary department.

• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance on a timely basis.
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Wash and clean utensils as directed.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to keep up in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to follow sanitation process and maintain cleanliness standards.

• Experience operating an industrial dishwasher and the sanitation process of the kitchen is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
• Experience in industrial food production is preferred.
• Prior experience working in a long‑term care facility is a plus.

• Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.
