Patient Access Specialist – Entry Level – Pay $17.00-$18.15/hr – On‑site, St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, IL.

• Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks.
• Collect insurance information, receive and process physician orders, and utilize overlay tools.
• Provide patient instructions and documentation for consent forms.
• Operate the telephone switchboard for internal and external calls.
• Adhere to policies, maintain excellent customer service (Press Ganey metrics).
• Pre‑register patient accounts and collect point‑of‑service collections, including payment plans.
• Use quality auditing and reporting systems to correct accounts and ensure audit compliance.
• Screen for medical necessity using ABN software and distribute needed forms.
• Enter benefit data into the system to support POS and billing processes.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• CRCR certification within 9 months of hire (company paid).
• Highly inquisitive with openness to innovation and AI‑driven process improvement.
