Medical Assistant - Medical Group Surgical Services

Hourly Pay Range

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  Glenbrook Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time:
  Full Time (40 hours per week)
• Hours:
  
  Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday: 8:00AM-4:30PM;
  Wednesday: 10:00AM-6:30PM
• Required Travel:
  Travel to Evanston, Skokie, Lincolnshire NNI sites

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height and weight
• Provide front office support as needed
• Phlebotomy and giving injections varies based on the specialty

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR-BLS certification through the American Heart Association required;
  Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience:
  
  One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
