** Shifts will vary Monday-Friday from 6:30am-7pm, 6:30pm-7am, 6:30am-3pm, or 2:30pm-11pm with rotating weekends and holidays

* What you will do:

*** Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
* Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
* Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
* Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
* Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
* Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
* Provide patient and staff education

* What you will need:

* ** Education**:
Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC),
** required**
* ** License/

Certifications:

** Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status,
** required
* ** State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within six months of employment,
** required
* ** Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association,
** required
* ** ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
** required within 24 months of employment
