Your mission: hold the line at ±0.0002"If optimizing Swiss‑type CNC lathes for demanding aerospace, defense, and automotive parts sounds like your kind of challenge, you’ll fit right in. We’re a Glenview precision shop with 60+ years of success, 100+ CNC machines, a climate‑controlled 35,000 sq. ft. floor, and a 50‑person team known for staying 20+ years.

What success looks like Deliver repeatable, small‑diameter parts from Swiss‑style machines at production speed—without sacrificing tolerance.

Stand up robust processes: smart tooling choices, excellent alignment, and stable programming.

Diagnose and eliminate chatter, deflection, and premature tool wear before they become problems.

Core responsibilities

Set up and operate Swiss‑style CNC lathes (Star, Citizen, Tsugami)
Install guide bushings, collets, and specialized tooling

Load/optimize Swiss‑type CNC programs and set precise tool offsets

Perform first article inspections to ±0.0002" and maintain tolerances throughout the run Monitor tool wear and make micro‑adjustments during high‑volume production

Run bar feeders and sustain throughput and quality

Own routine maintenance and cleanliness of your machine

Schedule & environment1st shift with flexible start/end times

Optional overtime

Climate‑controlled shop; complex, high‑precision work; supportive, team‑centric culture

Must‑haves2–5+ years of Swiss machining

Proven capability with tight‑tolerance, small‑diameter work Experience on Tsugami or similar Swiss platforms

Blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency

Use of micrometers, optical comparators, and related metrology

Bar feeder operation and high‑volume production familiarity

Comfort with titanium, stainless, and medical alloys (preferred)
Detail‑driven and consistent execution
