Precision Swiss CNC Set‑Up Technician

A precision manufacturer in Glenview with 60+ years of success, a 35,000 sq. ft. climate‑controlled facility, and 100+ CNC machines serving aerospace, defense, automotive, and more. We’re a 50‑person team with outstanding tenure—many colleagues have grown their careers here for 20+ years.

• Own Swiss‑style CNC lathe setups for small, intricate parts
• Choose/install guide bushings, collets, and application‑specific tooling
• Load programs, set/verify tool offsets, and refine paths for top‑tier accuracy
• Produce and inspect first articles to ±0.0002"
• Monitor tool wear and apply micro‑adjustments to keep runs in spec
• Operate bar feeders and sustain high‑volume production
• Troubleshoot chatter, deflection, and tool failure
• Keep machines maintained and ready for the next job

• 2–5+ years of Swiss machining experience
• Expertise with tight‑tolerance, small‑diameter work
• Experience on Tsugami or other Swiss platforms
• Ability to read prints and apply GD&T
• Hands‑on skill with micrometers, optical comparators, and precision gauges
• Comfort with bar feeders and high‑volume processes
• Material savvy—titanium, stainless, medical alloys (preferred)
• Detail‑focused and consistent execution
