ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Craft and lead marketing campaigns
- Coordinate with entire Marketing team to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and sales strategies
- Oversee the Museum's social media outreach and assist with other public relations efforts, including:
- Oversee outward communications, to include social, website, and email
- Oversee content creation, including graphics and photography, to be used for PR campaigns
- Own our digital universe by optimizing website, customer data, and branding, reducing dependence on third-party algorithms for traffic and engagement
- Collaborate across departments to create, evaluate, and refine Museum special events to generate earned revenue
- Oversee earned revenue events logistics
- Gather customer feedback through surveys or event interactions and support data analysis
- Oversee the day-to-day work of the Marketing Associate and Marketing Interns
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and manage performance concerns with guidance from leadership and HR
- Conduct interviewing, selection, onboarding, and training of new staff members
- Assist with the coordination and implementation of promotional events and partner engagements
- Collaborate in cross-departmental initiatives that promote the Museum's mission and brand
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- 5-7 years of marketing experience with a track record leading multi-channel campaigns
- Experience running nonprofit or consumer brand campaigns
- Experience with web optimization; creating and organizing content with strong SEO and user-friendly experience
- Advertising experience across digital, print, and broadcast
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with customer databases and social media platforms a plus
- Google Ads Manager expertise
- Strong knowledge of Mail Chimp, CMS platforms, and social scheduling tools
- Analytics and data interpretation skills
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and eager to learn with a proactive work ethic
- Valid driver's license, own vehicle and good driving record
- Flexibility with work schedule, as necessary, to support weekend scheduling and/or evening activities
- Customary office-related activities: standing, walking, sitting, bending
- Must work onsite at the museum
