Registered Nurse Coordinator Surgical Specialties - Operating Room

Overview

Hourly Pay Range: $40.45 - $62.70 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  Registered Nurse Coordinator - Operating Room

• Location:
  
  Glenbrook Hospital

• Full Time/Part Time:
  Full Time

• Hours:
  
  Monday-Friday - either  5-days per week or  4-days per week

• Additional Coverage:
  Available by phone for emergencies and may assist in the cardiovascular institute

• Coordinates the care for the operating room surgical patient population

• Manages staff schedules and patient assignments

• Works closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and operating room staff to ensure safe and quality care of the surgical patient

• Coordinates specialty cases with RN surgical specialists

• Monitors and maintains the quality of the intraoperative patient population by ensuring compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards

• Participates in performance improvement initiatives related to surgical specialties, collect and analyze data, and implement strategies to enhance patient care outcomes

• May cross cover in the cardiovascular institute

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required

• 3 Years of clinical nursing experience, with surgical specialty experience preferred

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (IDFPR). Current RN license in the state of Illinois is required

• BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS - American Heart Association (AHA) Required
