Pay Range: $35.50 - $53.25
Job Description SummaryThe Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate delivery in an ambulatory setting. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, advocates for patient needs, and upholds professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes.
LocationAdvocate Family Medicine Glenview, with remote coverage of Lincolnwood and Morton Grove sites.
Qualifications- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the nurse practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association
- Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, implementing safe, therapeutic care according to established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to deliver high-quality care.
- Assist in monitoring and recovery of patients prior to discharge.
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach, and twist frequently.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds.
- Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs of force and assist a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures.
- Must be able to operate foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Must perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical/hazardous waste, blood, body fluids, and communicable disease; protective equipment required.
- Must respond quickly to changes in patient or unit conditions.
- Physical ability testing may be required.
