Evanston, IL - Part Time: 40 hours per week

Monday-Friday and , rotating weekends every other and holidays - Required Travel: N/A
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant. As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing expert clinical guidance and leadership to enhance patient care outcomes, promote staff development, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
What you will do- Serve as a clinical expert in a specific area of nursing practice, providing guidance and support to nursing staff
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess and improve patient care protocols and practices
- Conduct educational sessions, workshops, and in-service training for nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills
- Mentor and coach nurses to promote professional growth and excellence in patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, data analysis, and the development of evidence-based care protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards
- Provide guidance on compliance issues and assist in regulatory audits and inspections
- Advocate for the highest quality of care for patients and families
- Address patient and family concerns and assist in resolving any issues related to care
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in nursing practice
- Assist in the implementation of evidence‑based practices to improve patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of education sessions, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance efforts
- Generate reports and data analysis to track progress and outcomes
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required) or Master's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- 5+ years of clinical nursing experience (current inpatient medical/surgical, critical care strongly preferred)
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) current license (Required)
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS certification (Required)
