Job PurposeThe Sr. Manager – Quality Innovation will ensure that Kraft Heinz products and processes meet the highest quality and food safety standards throughout the product lifecycle, from initial design to manufacturing. The role supports the development and implementation of quality by design strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. It works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.
EssentialFunctions & Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of quality by design strategies for new products and processes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures
- Lead quality aspects of specific category portfolio initiatives (growth, maintenance, productivity) and ensure pre‑ and post‑launch success
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to meet quality and food safety standards
- Conduct quality risk assessments and provide technical guidance to project teams
- Develop and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the development of quality training programs for employees
- Participate in quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Strategic thinker with high‑level strategic thinking across brand strategy, quality strategy, and complex commercialization
- High visibility influencer who works seamlessly with teams to drive impact at all levels of the organization
- Simplifier who can distill complex challenges into clear stories
- Commercialization leader with strong project leadership skills and a deep understanding of the commercialization process
- Quality‑in‑Design (QiD) acumen, understanding the degree to which product design meets intended purpose and user expectations
- Collaborator and team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving consumer, legislative, and regulatory environments
- Master of Science degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in quality or R&D (preferred)
- 2+ years of commercialization experience at Kraft Heinz or the CPG food industry
- Experience with quality systems/processes (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, including presentation, report writing, and teaching/training
- Strong collaborator who can lead complex cross‑functional work streams
- Resistant in ambiguous and rapidly evolving environments
- Self‑starter who operates independently
- Strategic, big‑picture thinker who can execute with excellence
- Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving decisions via data‑led stories
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organization and project management skills
- Travel up to 50% a year
This position is in a normal office environment with moderate travel to customer locations, stores, and manufacturing facilities. The office is an open‑workspace environment, and the role requires a flexible working schedule pending business needs.
Physical RequirementsOccasional activities sustained up to 1/3 of working hours, upright stance. Sedentary work, occasionally exerting 0–10 lbs. of force; limited movement from workstation for brief periods.
CompensationNew Hire Base Salary Range: $ – $
