Lab Technician
Job Summary
The Lab Technician supports laboratory and product development activities through sample preparation, testing, documentation, and operation of laboratory equipment. This role ensures work is completed accurately, safely, and in compliance with quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples and materials according to established procedures.
- Follow formulas, specifications, and laboratory instructions.
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory and pilot-scale equipment.
- Support product development, testing, and research projects.
- Accurately measure and handle raw materials and samples.
- Maintain detailed records of laboratory activities and results.
- Prepare basic reports, charts, and documentation.
- Monitor laboratory supplies and inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Follow all safety, quality, and laboratory protocols.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of laboratory experience in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and documentation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field.
- Experience supporting R&D, quality control, or product development activities.
- Familiarity with laboratory and pilot-scale equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new techniques.
Work Environment
This role is based in a modern, clean, and up-to-date flavor laboratory and production facility. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The facility is designed to encourage frequent interaction among team members, with work spaces that support collaboration between laboratory staff and other departments.

This is a Contract position based out of Glenview, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
